Denise Balzac

Denise Balzac joins the Balzac Public Affairs (BPA) team as a Vice President of Special Projects and Operations. In addition to her role at BPA's, Denise is also Chief Operating Officer at Balzac & Associates, a full-service risk management and insurance brokerage firm with offices in Puerto Rico and clients stateside. Denise is a key member of all operations.

Before returning to Puerto Rico, after living offshore in many countries for almost 30 years, Denise has worked in many industries both as an employee and an independent contractor. She has exceled as a Administrator, Financial Consultant and Project Management in the Construction, Hospitality and Legal industries.

A well-travelled executive, Denise lived in Valencia, Spain and New Zealand and both the US and British Virgin Islands. Denise's passion has always been defined by her love of completive and leisure sailing. She was involved in three America's Cup challenges and worked as a volunteer in many other sailing events across the world.

Denise graduated with high honors from University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus and holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Marketing Major. She is Bilingual and Bicultural in English Spanish spoken and written and has advanced computer skills in Mac and Microsoft including Windows, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, Quicken and QuickBooks. Denise is worldwide competitive sailor winner of a Gold medal at during the 1986 Central American Games and multiple world championships on Hobie Cat 16th.
